Approaching the 50th Anniversary of the formation of Kent Youth Trials Club, we would like to take the opportunity to build and share with you all an archive of KYTC, hopefully before memories, paperwork and photographs are lost.
In the grand scheme of things, and certainly when compared to other trials clubs up and down the country (and even some here in Kent), being established nearly 50 years doesn't seem that long. But to some of us on the committee, and most certainly to our current crop of riders, 1976 seems "an age ago".
Luckily, photos and communications from the club from the past 20 years have been captured digitally, in one format or another, and undoubtedly people associated with the club over that time have files and folders within their PC (or USBs or even DVD-R) with photos on. Previous to that, we rely on storage boxes.
As we pick our way through what we have at the club, we would like to ask anybody who has had an association with the club over the past half-century to contribute what you have - photos, newsletters, publications, information, names, places, faces etc etc. Anything you can contribute will be gratefully received - If you can scan it and send it great (Dropbox for larger files). If not post it to us and we'll scan it in and return it - either way please feel free to get in touch.
Below is just a start of what we've found so far - I will try my best to keep it in date order, if it is an image of paperwork then it should open up the whole document if you click on it.
