About KYTC

Formed in 1976, KYTC is the only trials club in Kent solely devoted to youth riders.  The club provides a friendly atmosphere for the youth members to learn about trials riding.

KYTC run two concurrent championships each year - the KYTC Championship and the OSET Cup - typically held across 14 trials.  On top of this we participate in about 8 demonstration days at various events around Kent (see our Dates page to come and find us - spectators always welcome).  Some of our events are camping weekends, giving the chance for the kids (and the parents) to socialise.

Kent Youth Trials Club primarily caters for 4-18 year olds, although some of our "older" youth members (who now compete on an adult licence) do show up on occasion to show the younger riders what can be achieved with practice and a little bit of commitment.

KYTC set out 5 routes at each trial - Beginner (which we split into Small Wheel-16' wheels and below; and Big Wheel- 20' wheels and above), Sportsman, Novice, Intermediate and Expert.  Each route increases in difficulty.  It is a skill-based system within the club, enabling riders to find their feet (but don't put them down!) whilst they learn to control their machine.

Trophies and medals are awarded at each trial, as well as at our annual awards evening for the two Championships we run.

All members of the club are eligible to ride in North Kent Combines, South East Centre and National Trials.

We also issue membership for parents who wish to gain their ACU licence through the club.
